Writer's Block: Family Matters
What things do you know you can count on your family for?

Everything! We've had some trying times and not always seen eye-to-eye but in the end, we still love each other. Us kids don't always hear what we want to from Mom & Dad; we're told what we need to be told! We never want for anything - our whole family looks out for each other and provides where one lacks, knowing that some day they may be the one in need and loving each other non-the-less for their times of need. My favorite past times were spent in the presence of family and I look forward to many more great years with them!

My Daily horoscope from Yahoo:

Small talk is fine, but when you need to make a connection, cut to the chase.

Your commitment to service -- at work, in the community or elsewhere -- is admirable and drawing new attention your way. Keep at it, and make sure that you're not just running in circles.

Cut the excess today. Some believe that nothing exceeds like excess, but you're definitely not in the opposite camp, and especially now. You're much hardier, and you know that those with the lightest baggage move at the quickest pace. Whatever you find excessive, heavy or just plain unnecessary you need to leave behind. If it turns out you need it later, you can always improvise.

Happy 4th!!!
Sorry it's late everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend as much as I did!!! Due to lack of internet at home and some very busy days at work, my posting has not been up-to-par lately. I'm glad to be back and see some new friends here. Welcome to my life ;-D I hope you enjoy reading and remain friends with me for a very, very long time.

Here's a pic from our boat trip. It was cloudy and rainy but we had a great time out there anyway!

(Dad's girlfriend there)  I really like her.

We missed fireworks because of the rain. My daughter was more disappointed than me.
Lol I'll be posting more later (Need to get back to work now)

Labyrinth of Reverence

 Labyrinth meaning – maze, complexity

Synonyms: coil, complication, convolution, entanglement, intricacy, jungle, knot, mesh, morass, perplexity, problem, puzzle, riddle, skein, snarl, tangle, web

Reverence meaning – high opinion of something

Synonyms: admiration, adoration, apotheosis, approbation, approval, awe, bow, deference, deification, devotion, devoutness, esteem, fealty, fear, genuflection, high esteem, homage, honor, love, loyalty, obeisance, obsequiousness, piety, praise, prostration, religiousness, respectveneration, worship

Layrinth of Reverence was bound here to mean many things:

A Feeling in which one learns to honor, cherish and love the thing that is his/her mind, “A Maze”, so complex that it may never be truly understood.

A Thought Process, meaning to devote ones life to understanding the intricacy of ones self and the world that surrounds the mind, body and soul.

An Action, meaning to treat others in a way that shows them that you understand that their thoughts, feelings and mind is not to be taken for granted and abused.

I’m not perfect by any means, nor will I ever be. There’s no harm in trying. It’s also important to understand that everyone’s idea of perfection is different. This is mine. Everyone needs something to believe in. I believe in Love and Hope. I believe in the ways of old; the ways of my Cherokee ancestors. I believe the earth is to be loved and holds so many treasures that I can not even begin to fathom. It’s ironic that, in the near future (3-5 years), I’ll be moving to Bristol Tennessee/Virginia – an original home of a colony of my ancestors. I have much to think about!   =)

Coffee at 9 today
Ivy's summer school only goes Monday through Thursday so I have her at work today. We've been here exactly 45 minutes and she's already created a fake theme park ticket and tried to convince me that it's real so we could go and didn't have to work!!!

My adopted mother always blamed my biological parents for me and my siblings lying (At a young age). They always said "children are innocent. They don't know how to lie". Therefore, I always blamed parents for a kid lying - thinking 'They must have taught them to be that way' . It wasn't until I had my own that I realized how wrong I was! CHILDREN ARE EVIL - EVIL I SAY!!!! LOL JK - I love her to death! The insanity of a child does make for some hilarious moments, especially when they're learning how to talk: Sleeping Beauty became weeping booty, Backwards became baswads, The S was left off any word that began with that letter such as Spaghetti = aghetti, ect... When my brother (26) was learning how to talk, anything that started with an L or R was replaced with a W. (I'm 31, Sis is 30, Bro's are 26 & 19)

Anyway, she's finally settled down on the other computer for an episode of Boowa and Kwala. I prefer Dinosaur Train but hey... she's the one that has to watch it. Lol So, lastnight, at Wal-mart, we of course spent wwwaaaayyyy too much money.... I got us 2 movies from the red box because we hardly ever rent them or go out anymore. I watched Matilda with her, which was a really neat movie. Then settled down in my own cozy bed to watch Avatar for the first time. I wish now that I had went to see it in 3D!!! It actually made me cry when their tree got destroyed. There's so few today that realize the value of what we have and can see that the human race is like a parasite, bleeding it dry. I say few referring to only the couple thousand out of billions of us on this planet. It's just not enough. That's not to say that I haven't enjoyed my share of technology. It is to say that I'm learning more every day to appreciate what we have and how to help and save what we have left.

I have more to say but I want to do a bit more coffee drinking and looking around for now. So, I'll leave you with this warning - Don't kiss a snapping turtle!

Another Beautiful Day in Paradise
.... Hot day that is. I love Florida but I think the humidity is getting worse every summer. We had a nice cool winter this year that most seemed to enjoy - saved me $150 on my electric bill not running the AC!!! Lol It's a slow day in the office at work and sunny outside making me wish my toes were in water... or at least a lure in the water... or my head with 100 pounds of hair.... or... well.... Lol... Pretty much anything in the water right now.

I really need to get some work done today but Ivy's birthday is coming in August and I just LOVE decorating for things like that. I have to leave the money in the car when I go in a store to just "Look" at things for ideas so I don't "Buy" them all! Hehe... She'll be 6 this year and it's really the first birthday that's been "Important" to her. She's requested a theme this year and is making her own guest list and just flat-out growing up way too quick!

I'm a little tired today... my house is a small single wide mobile home so I didn't think anything of weed-eating around it. (Only the 2nd time I've ever used a weed-eater) I ended up going to bed over-exhausted and had a hard time sleeping, on top of my normal insomnia. We're raiding Wal-mart tonight. Well, not really... I need wasp spray and a few misc bathroom items. My Dad's been trying to help me cut some costs around the house. His ideas could help anyone though so if you need help on lowering your electric bill, here they are:

1) Start using a clothes line instead of the dryer.
2) Put a timer on your water-heater so that it only runs once a day instead of all day.
3) Weather-seal doors and windows.
4) Turn your AC up to 80 when you leave your house. If you have a timer, set it to cool down to your desired temperature about 30 minutes before you're scheduled to arrive back home.
5) Use minimal lighting when you're home and turn everything off when you leave.
6) Unplug any appliances / electronics / chargers that are not in regular use: They still draw electricity even though you're not using them or have a cell phone or battery plugged into them.
7) Turn off your computer / laptop when you're sleeping or not using it.
8) Have duct work under your home or in an attic checked at least once a year for holes that could re-direct your heating / cooling and make your electric bill higher.
9) If you have an outside heating / cooling unit, keep it free of weeds and debris.

Hope that helps! My job today is to mount the clothes line to the deck and turn on the timer for my water heater when I get home. If you have any more ideas of how to save some money from the electric bill please let me know.

I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I need to try to get some work done now.

"About me"
i always thought the name game was silly but neat. I have a hard telling people about myself so I'll give this way a good shot:

Awe-struck - At how hard it is to find a synonym to 'compassion' that starts with an A.
Talented - Played Trumpet & Guitar, Draw some, Crafty, Write poetry / short stories
Rough - Around the edges.
Impatient - The quicker (& better) it gets done, the quicker (& more) everyone is happy!
Naturalistic - Most of the reason I'm so drawn to science-fiction / Fantasy writings & movies!
Attitude - RAWR!!!

HAHA   **BIG RAWR!!!!**   I found it - <<Altruism>>

"Deeply" Disturbing
The world as we know it is never going to be the same. Since October of 1966 (44 Years) there have been 10 *Major* oils spills. These oil spills have contributed approximately 4,758,881 Barrels of crude oil to oceans and coast lines; and still continues to grow, as the current oil spill has yet to be stopped. Negative effects are still being felt from all of the spills.

This link will give you a document that lists all types of oil (Crude, diesel, condensate, ect.) and the numbers that have been released into the oceans over many years:

**Note: Publication in August 2009, it does not include the most recent spill events**

This link will give you an update of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill:
